Getting Started
Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here!
Reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step. My goal is to make it feel a little less overwhelming—and a lot more human.
Think of your first contact as a conversation, not a commitment.
This is your space to ask questions, feel out the fit, and get a sense of whether this work—and this relationship—feels right for you.
Before You Reach Out
To make the most of your time (and mine), here are a few things to consider before scheduling a consultation:
-
How did you find me?
It helps to know what brought you here and what you're hoping to shift or explore. -
Have you reviewed my website?
I put a lot of effort into keeping my site and blog updated so you can get a strong sense of how I work. Take a look around—and bring any lingering questions with you. -
What draws you to my work?
I specialize in relationships, sex therapy, betrayal repair, high-conflict couples, and trauma-informed care. Which areas resonate most with your situation? -
Have you seen my fees?
Sessions are private pay only. I don’t accept insurance but can offer superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. -
Are you 18 or older?
I work with adults only. -
Where will you be during sessions?
I’m licensed in Oregon and Minnesota and can see clients located in either state at the time of each session. I also work with some international clients—just let me know where you’re based. -
Are you comfortable with teletherapy?
Currently, all sessions are offered via secure video.
What Happens Next
If it seems like we might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation (when I have availability). This isn’t therapy—it’s a low-pressure way to ask questions, feel out the connection, and get clarity on next steps.
